Providing service to other members is vital to the survival of our organization and for your personal recovery. S.L.A.A. offers a variety of service opportunities in your homegrown or at the Intergroup level.
What can I do in my home group?
Members volunteer to do a variety of things. Here are some examples of how you can be of service to others:
- Welcome new comers
- Chair a meeting
- Read one of the provided meeting prayers
- Read the Twelve Steps
- Read the Characteristics of an S.L.A.A. addict
- Read the 12 Traditions
- Assist in collecting donations
- Attend monthly business meetings and volunteer for a position (treasurer, secretary, speaker seeker, meeting administrator etc)
What can I do at Intergroup?
Intergroup is an assembly of representatives from the Ontario area S.L.A.A. groups whose purpose is to provide information and outreach to those seeking help with sex and love addiction.
